Hey Tom, I saw where you made the switch to PDFs for the order spec sheet. How is t working out? Any growing/switchover pains? I filled a couple out just to see and they look/work great. It should give you lots more options, flexibility, and compatibility than Word.
roy has been working on them. he's been through several revisions and i think the latest which is not loaded yet may be as final as we get around here. we would love to have them have all models on a single form and have the appropriate drop down options appear when the model is selected, but i don't think we can do that. i was told that perhaps with some java programming it might be possible. but for now at least we have forms that everyone should be able to read. sadly they will not read right into our data base so they have to be re entered manually. we are hoping to move into a new system in the next year or so that markus here is going to help us with, but it will be a grueling changeover as it will include all our bookkeeping as well.

yeah, sometimes changes in software/technology can just snowball and one upgrade leads to others. I'll ask some of my friends that do a lot of stuff in Adobe if they know of any work-arounds to get all of the models in one form. Roy needs some serious kudos for tackling that one!

I work for Adobe. I will see if there is anyone in the Acrobat division that can give some guidance. I'll be back!
that would be cool! we have version 9 and roy is wondering if 10 is less quirky, for lack of a better word. we just got version 9 a month ago.

No worries Tom. I have experience with 10 but will ping our sales team and see what kind of best practices they can offer. I'll post in here when I find something.

I'm still on this too, Tom. Been pretty swamped lately, but it's clearing up a little bit now, so I should make progress fairly quickly now. Already talking to Roy (maybe) too. :)
