Tom will snicker in disbelief when I type this, but...

I WILL NEVER SELL MY SHORT T.

There is no guitar on this planet that does what that one does. It makes me feel like this world is a beautiful and near-perfect place.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Short T and while I've never sold any of my Andy's I can guarantee that I will never ever rid myself of this guitar. Hands down my go to for almost any style of music I play.

I went out of town this weekend on a short trip. It had me 45 minutes from the closest Anderson dealer to me. There is a Hollow Short T on the web site!

I arrived at my destination and would not have been able to get to the store in time before closing.

With all the love-talk about short T's, I think it might have been a good thing. My credit card might have endured some heavy collateral damage that day!

Maybe another time...

Thanks,
Ray K.

Whenever I can get myself back to "buying mode" a short-T might be my first guitar purchase; LOVE these.

Can a T Classic be converted to a Short T with a neck exchange or is there a difference also with the bridge location on a Short T body?

Bridge and pickups, I believe, are both moved. Not sure if the body size is any diff.

Me too. Every time I speak to that guy I spend money. That's twice now.

I too was also wondering about conversions....Possible? But we have to remember people, Tom is in the buisness to SELL guitars , Not fix 'em. That said I believe a Short T is on my next to do list for this summer. I have a guitar coming with a +70 size neck. If all goes well with it , I will either ask for another or maybe a little bigger or smaller. Best guitars on the planet.

conversion not possible. the only thing they share is the body profile and neck pickup placement. other pickup and bridge are moved for the scale and neck is shorter. 22nd fret is in the same place so the "hang" of the guitar is the same.

Yeah if you look closely, you can tell. Little things like the bridge pickup cavity is cut right up next to the pick guard. At a glance it just looks like a regular T tho.

ok, so i played my htc shorty this weekend after it being away for 3+ months. it might be the coolest thing ever. my wife who usually will only ridicule my playing when i play poorly, all in fun of course, but seldom notices my tone, actually said she really liked my tone this weekend. one day she asked if i was playing with mittens on...so now one of the guys calls me mittens:o

how's yours spec'd mittens? hollow alder with maple neck and Ms?

tom
03-15-2011, 03:47 PM
yup, all alder, maple neck, m1 and tm2 with kickback. the weird thing was that i generally use 3 sounds at most from any guitar, and in reality usually 2. i used all 6 sounds this weekend and enjoyed them all.

is that the Butterscotch shorty that I borrowed before I got mine?

Don't get me wrong, I love my Shorty but for some reason I remember that one sounding just... better. Maybe its the TM3 in mine, I dont know. Thats a great guitar tho

to me the tm2 is a better match with the m1. and it also has a better edge than the tm3. if you're after bigger hb tones the 3 is great but the 2does the big tele thing way better for me.

hear-hear! TM2 should be in the pickup hall-o-fame

I think I need to swap it. I've got my Atom or my Cobra covered for the HB tones.
