View Full Version : Tone pot cap ?
It was mentioned on a previous thread how great the Anderson tone control is and Tom mentioned he uses a different cap to everyone else.
What is the value of the cap and is it connected in the usual manner ?
Anyone know ? :D
Thought I'd fit one in my non Anderson guitar too ( with Anderson pickups )

Wolf,
Unless he has changed his "secret formula," I believe Tom uses an .01 cap connected as usual.
Hope that helps,

that is correct. general rule is that the smaller the value the lower the cut frequesncy is. so a .05 like fender uses takes out highs and most of the middle. our .01 leaves in a lot more middle. a .0033 acts like a treble cut only control.
I can only seem to find .015 caps for guitar.. is that close enough ?
that will be in between us and the normal gibson value.
