Anyone have any experience with any of the super-low powered amps out there (Auble, Emery, Vintone, etc.)? There seem to be quite a few, but not many places to try them out.
haven't played them. how micro are they?
Seriously micro, like 1 or 2 watts, maybe a boost switch to get 3 or 4. They seem to be, at least 'on paper', built to a high standard, and mostly seem at least inspired by the old tweed Champs. I've got one of those & it's great (a '56, 4-1/2 big watts, H2+ p/u sounds particularly gorgeous through it), but these promise tone at a lot lower volume. Even my Champ, when turned up at all, is too loud for the living room, so they seem appealing as well as very cute -- expensive, though.
The Z-Vex Nano is pretty dang small.
