What's an HW2A pup and can I get another?

Hi Tom,
I just picked up michaelomiya's Atom, which has an HW2A pup in the bridge position. It sounds absolutely awesome to me. I am sure it isn't for everyone, but with my gear, my incredibly inept playing and a completely tin ear, it is just great!

I can't find any reference to it on the website. Are they still available as a secret for Forum members only if I wanted to order a guitar with one?

I've been running an HW2 in my Drop Top for the past 6 months and am loving it. I'd describe it like a H2 with a more traditional mid presence but still keeping the wider bandwidth that the Anderson pickups are known for. It splits brilliantly and matches nicely with the SFs in the neck/middle. It doesn't have the 'sparkle' of the HF2, but still does a nice clean sound with a similar mid boosted characteristic.

I believe they can be special ordered through your dealer just like any other pickup.

i thot HW2's were not avail? i just ordered a hdtc, expect it shortly (:D :D ) and was told that i could not get that pup anymore. :eek: that's a bummer, sounds like it is what i'm after?! roy mentioned the HC2 would be a choice to go with. it does sound incredible although covered as i have put it in one of my strats.
maybe the next one......after the cobra! ;) :rolleyes: :D my wife does not hear this, ok!!!! :)

FWIW, I love (loved) that P/UP. I spoke to Roy and we're gonna "ask" the Supreme Commander if he will graciously "allow" me to purchase a couple more to refit my other TAG's....:D ;)
