Picked this baby up today- I have been thinking about getting another Cobra for a while but turns out this is the one- got a great deal on it.
It was brand new but also was made in 2002.
Apparently they had a hard time selling it because of the colour.
Amazing tones from it- the splits on Pos1-4 is really useful.
Not sure the H3 is my ideal pickup but I will see how I go for a bit and then perhaps swap it out for a H2+.

Identical specs to mine except mine's not hollow.
I've got the H2+ and I love it.
I've also got the HF2 in another guitar and that's awesome too except it doesn't split as nicely.

Congrats on the new HDT .
I am with Wolf on the color-nothing wrong , purple is the most sophisticated color in the nature .
H3 is stunning pick up too...
Just curious , how Alder HDT may sound ?

Yeah, the hollow alder is great.
It is very chimey, straty on neck & mid.
Distorted bridge pickup reminds me of Brett Garsed's recent tone.
Big, round and throaty.
I am loving this guitar and I am really much more of a tele player.
My Cobra T has some competition now. :)

I like the color quite a bit. Can't believe they'd have a problem with it. Great guitar! Congrats!!!
Used to have a Cobra in that color. Photos don't do it justice. I especially that metallic hot rod purple shade it had on the back and the headstock.
