so far every piece i've had, including brian's, has had some kind of defect that turns into a crack or sunken spot in the finish. i knew brian wouldn't care about that so we went ahead and finished it. it's not something i would want to release into the world. it seems that the nicer the piece, and brian's was a nice one, the better chance for defect.

Hehehe - Tom forgot he's made three for me...

The first one is in Germany somewhere. It was a DropTop with a Spalted Top / Basswood back. Black hardware, including Floyd trem. PauFerro freboard with no dots. S/S/H with switcheroo.

Second one was a Cobra that ended up on Andersonalley. I had it made with 2 P90's and later had it switched to 2 HB. This one had gold hardware, the Baggs piezo trem and custom switching. Madagascar board, no dots.

The latest (and last if Tom would stop coming out with new ideas) is the Cobra with 3 Ms. Love it to death! Sorry, not for sale.

PS I've seen and played Tom's new guitar and think it's fabulous - even if it does't have a Splated top!
