It seems I am leading in technical department threads
OK ,there is another one .
I have a three (3) " F " guitars with classical 5 way switching between 3 singles or two HB and one middle single coil , but no splitting .
My DT is only two HB with splitting , but still 5 way switch .
On all of three , above noted guitars I always have a tone doesn't matter where is the switch .
On my DT Andy , I can make to do not have a tone signal between 5 and 4 , and 2 and 1 position , but :
Interesting enough , I cannot make the same thing (SWD) between 3 and 4 , and 2 and 3 position ??? I have signal all the way .....!!???

( 5 is neck HB , 1 is bridge HB , the rest is in between ) .
So , sometimes , when I switch between two' positions ( and do that wrongly ) my DT become dumb (silent) , so I must to kick it in position where She gets a sound .
With my another's 5 ways switching guitars it's never the case .
Even if I want , I can not find a SDW (Switch Dumb Gap) anywhere in between .
Is this because Andy splitting ?
Any ideas ?
Thanks Tom :D :) :) :)

with a standard 5way wiring, all you are doing is connecting different pickups to hot. with our switch you are doing lots of other connections, some shorting things to ground. so some of the in between spots will connect hot to ground, shorting out the signal. there is always a price to pay with complexity, but if you stay on the 5 positions it will always have sound.

just wondering , how and when do you manage to build the most beautiful guitars on the world , if you immediately answer on any , even so "dumb" question on this site ...:D
Thanks and Cheers,
Zoran

evry time i get to sit for a minute i try to answer some email and forum questions. otherwise there is a mountain so high i would never get to leave my desk. as it is there are 150 emails in my in box i have yet to answer. a tip to anyone sending me email, i'd rather see several short questions than a several paragraph book to read:o
