Beautiful version of a truly great guitar. Swamp Ash body, in a gorgeous tobacco sunburst, with absolutely STUNNING figuring (see pics) and a rosewood board. It also features impeccable fake binding (a la PRS) by exposing the natural wood.
The neck is the 60s vibe profile, which is extremely comfortable and to me seems just right, neither too fat nor too skinny. It has Stainless Steel Medium Frets, which feel fantastic - bending and vibrato is incredibly smooth! It also has the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, which has been a massive bonus in the studio again and again. It has a compound radius fretboard (10"" - 14").
It is NOT the contoured version, it is just shaped like a normal tele, although the heel does have the Anderson contour, making top fret access a breeze. Being hollow it is super-comfortable for long sessions and gigs.
The neck pickup is by far the best I have heard on a tele - it sounds like a particularly nice vintage strat pickup. The whole guitar is very ballsy sounding but also quite refined.
It has a custom-fit G+G case. The guitar is in excellent condition, a good 9 out of 10. The only marks are a couple of very small dents on the top edge, and on small scratch (maybe 1cm or so) on the bottom edge - nothing visible from the front.
This guitar has been used for precisely four gigs - and each time was handled with extreme care by professional techs. Other than that it has been a studio guitar since it was bought.
This guitar was around an eye-watering £2800 - £2900 new. I'm looking for £1595. Paypal ok +3% to cover fees. Cleared cheque, Postal Order, or IBAN transfer probably better for all.
