I have a Cobra with an H02 in the bridge. I also have a Drop Top with an H2+ in the bridge. I'm using an amp on the dirty channel and i kick in a boost pedal for a little more gain. I'm also using an ISP Decimator to help keep the noise down. When i use the Drop Top with the H2+ it's very quiet, not much noise at all. If i switch to my Cobra I'm getting a lot of hum and noise. I thought the H2+ was a hotter pickup? Could i possibly have an issue with my wiring in my Cobra?
Any help would be appreciated.
all our alnico hb's(HO) are bit noisier, but it should be super minor. are we talking in the extreme positions of the 5 way or the splits?

I'm only talking about the bridge position since i only use bridge and neck positions when using high gain. I do like the H2+ a lot, maybe I'll swap the H0 for another H2+. Thanks.
let's do a test or two to make sure it's really working the way it should.
is there definitely a difference in tone between pos 4 and 5?
is pos 5(bridge pickup) a little louder than pos 1(neck pu)?
