I have been using the stereo output setting (push button out) with a Y insert cable splitting the output to a X3 Live pod. I run the piezo accoustic side through a volume pedal then into input 2 of the pod. GREAT RESULTS!!

However, when I try to use a normal setup (push button in) with a standard instrument cable, I can't get anything from the piezo pickup. I understand the toggle switch is suppose to control which pickup is on, but nothing comes from the piezo regardless of the setting. The CMA electric pickup works, but not the piezo.

Am I missing something?

you have a mono cable plugged in, push button in down position, good battery, switch in the up position, and have no piezo?
do you have any sound in up position?

If you're describing it right, when I do this it works great. Keep in mind, though that the volume controls change function in this mode, if I recall correctly (I almost never use this, sorry). I think one is volume and one is blend?

yes, the second volume knob becomes blend when both are on in mono.

Ahhhhh, as I suspected, it was not the equipment but the nut on the wheel. :)

Maybe a better question would have been, "Hey Tom, what's all these knobs do?" I didn't realize the second knob became a blending control. I thought it was still a volume control for the piezo which explains why it wouldn't turn up the piezo. My piezo is working in this mode too and very beautifully as expected for the Crowdster.

It was the first time I'd ever tried using it in mono mode and I didn't know how the controls worked. I needed to play an acoustic set at church with a mono cable.

By the way, thank you for answering so quickly Tom. I didn't have my email option set to notify me when an answer was posted so when I saw you had answered so quickly, I felt bad for waiting so long to reply myself.

one thing worth noting about the mono mode blend control. at the end of it's travel in either direction there is still a little of the other voice present. this was intensional on baggs part but i forget the logic. so if you want only acoustic in mono, just flip the selector switch up to acoustic only.

Thanks Tom. When I use mono again that's what I'll do.

Hey, mine looks JUST like yours!

Here it is the day I bought it.

But here it is now. Post "plus 2" conversion

I'm also running it through an X3Live a lot, btw, and really enjoying it. I'm planning on upgrading to the new POD HD, though.

Enjoy!
