Bought a new Andy a little over a year ago and had to sell it as economic conditions dictated. I was bummed becuase it was such a good player. I've been saving a little, Sold a few other things and was in the market when I came across, The very same Andy I had sold! That old saying.....if you Love something let it go came true! I had sent it to be on consignment at a store in another state. 2 owners later I see it for sale on a guitar forum. Should be here early next week sometime. I'm pysched!!:D

Sounds more like you loaned it out a year or so ago... thats a cool story. Its like someone who lost a dog and a year later it finally returned.

Hey got the guitar back and it seems perfect. Still plays great and no marks......However I was seriously Bummed that whoever had it disconnected the Push Pull and the Kick Back switch. Why would someone do that? If you don't like it just don't pull it up right? I haven't opened it up yet but I'm hoping its just the matter of reconnecting it. Is there a diagram available so I can see what was done and what needs to be put back? I really dug the Vintage Voicing and that option. I still can't believe someone would disconnect it . Operation will have to wait until sunday when I have so ME time...........

I did not see any broken solders or any evidence that anything was disconnected. Why would they? Do you think its possible that the black box or the switch went bad?

Any help would be really appriciated.

the black box is the kickback and the push pull should activate it in the middle position only. does the kickback work in pos 2 and 4?
not sure i can see good enough to trouble shoot from here. if you give me an email address i can send you a color pdf.

Thanks! alabarb28@comcast.net

When I pull up the switch nothing happens. Not in any posistion. I originally thought that someone had disconnected it although I couldn't understand why. But none of the solders are broken, I see no evidence that anything was unsoldered or cut.

the switch only does anything in the middle 5 way spot. then it kicks back both pickups. the 2 and 4 should be brighter versions of 1 and 5. is that happening?

You know what? It is now. It wasn't , but now it is! Are you that good that you fixed it over the net?! Seriously.......maybe something was loose? I'm not complaining. Thank you Sir!

i willed it to be... well not really.
but maybe the taking it out and putting it back moved something that was shorting to something else. it's pretty crowded in there.
