I just wanted to introduce myself (Jim) to all you fine members! I recently stumbled into Tom Anderson guitars at a local music store a few weeks ago. I've played and owned my fair share of guitars but I had never encountered one of Tom's guitar before...until now...

Anyhow, I'm a humbucker type guy (Les Paul, PRS) and I was blown away when I tried the Atom CT model. So much so, that I bought it on the spot - something I rarely do with expensive guitars! A couple weeks later, I decide to visit the same store with my son to show him around and low and behold, I spot a Bulldog on the wall. Well, let's just say I had to take her home to give the Atom CT some friendship!

Both guitars play and sound fantastic through my rig. The best I have ever heard or played under my finger tips!

Thank you Tom!

Welcome, nice guitars. My DTC is my number one guitar. Only have one TAG but out of the 28 that I own, I think it's the best playing, sounding guitar that I have.

Welcome on the Board SCman ,these are awesome babies !
Maybe you are the right person for my question :
do you find Atom kinda different than Bulldog , or you find'em pretty the same , since they have similar woods ,necks, frets and pickups (I can see HC's on both of them ) .
I'm referring to overall feeling , playability and sound .
I cannot try any Bulldog here in SA, but I can try the Atom instead of Bulldog :D - and I am looking for that dog too.
Thanks,
Zoran

Welcome Jim. Very nice guitars!!! :D
I played a Bulldog a couple of weeks ago and I was very much tempted to take it home too. Luckily I got distracted with two other, very different Andersons! ;) :D

Beauties!!!
I discovered TAGs just over a year ago and it changed my enjoyment of playing tremendously. Now I'm waiting for delivery of a new Bulldog. This forum is great and has provided tons of good information. Play in good health!

Hi Zoran,
Well, they are very similar in sound and playability. They both play great but feel a little different when they are strapped on my body.

My Bulldog has a slightly beefier neck than my Atom. Balance on both guitars is excellent. They sound similar with maybe a slightly thicker sound coming out of the Bulldog. I think the Bulldog is more versatile because both tone pots split the pups! They are both terrific and you can't go wrong with either!!
