Tom,
Just picking your brain on this one, but a P-90 housing is big enough to accommodate the wider string spacing of a 7-String; the poles would have to be adjusted. Any reasons why these are not used with 7's?
until recently there was not a p90 cover available that didn't already have the 6 pole screw holes in it, so there was no way to do it. we now have a cover that we can put poles where ever we want so that's why the pq's could happen for us. i'd have to take a look to see if there's enough room for the coils that surround the screws in a 7 string version. the other obstacle from a practical point is that since there have been no 7 strings available with that rout, there is no built in market for the pickup. since this is the first time i've heard anyone ask for it, i'd have to say it would be a labor of love to tool it up as opposed to a pickup that would ever break even cost wise for the maker. for me, i've got a very long list of things i want to do already so that's probably not going to happen any time soon. i'd mention the things on the list, but that might invoke the 2 year rule;)

Thanks Tom! I was curious as I have not seen one on the market and was wondering if there was a sound reason why P-90's would not work in a 7; sounds more like a logistical/demand problem.
