I have a Hollow Drop Top (02-20-03P) that is my primary go to guitar. I normally do not put the trem bar on when I play. A few years ago I noticed that the trem bar would not stay put (slide in and out easily) when installed. On close look into the hole it appears that there is a place that a rubber 0 ring would likely fit. There is nothing there now. Question is: Does an 0 ring go there? and if so, Is it a common size I can find?

Thanks

i've not seen an o ring in any of the trems we use. there is or is supposed to be a tension set screw either on the collar on the top of the bridge or on the end of the block under the baseplate on the older models.

I've never uploaded any pictures, so here is an attempt at sending pictures of the the hole in the top of the trem and the end of the block from the bottom. I don't see any set screws or anything. Also this is how it looked on day 1. Nothing obvious is missing. Any ideas?

that looks like the fishman made trem. the delrin bushing inside the hole can not be removed unless you take the block off, so unless you took it apart it should be there.
if you install the arm and depress it, you should be able to see a set screw on the end of the block just below the baseplate on the arm end. it is possible that the screw fell out, if so i can send you a spare. it uses a 1.5mm allen wrench.

When I get a chance I'll take the bridge apart and see what I need to get. It could be awhile since I don't really use the trem. But I do want it to be 100%. It's amazing that I'm wearing the guitar out (I also need a volume pot) and have not had to do any setup tweaks on it ever. I've played it almost daily since 2003.

I went ahead and took the trem off the guitar and found that the set screw was still there as well as the bushing. The set screw just needed a turn or two to give me the feel I wanted for the trem bar.
