View Full Version : Wacky "short" on my Crowdster Plus 2

Here's a wierd one. I practiced with my C+2 tonight, and when I plugged it into my stereo rig, I noticed I was getting full volume on the bride electric pickup, but almost nothing from the neck. Wasn't "fitzing" or anything, but it was way way quiet and fizzy.

Then I un-plugged, re-plugged, and it worked okay, although the acoustic side sounded a little weak. Replaced the battery (It was almost gone) and everything seems fine.

My question is this, is it possible that a dying battery can affect the electric side of this guitar? I don't know if the battery affects it or not, so I'm asking. If it matters, I'm always always always in stereo mode.

Or is this a possible intermittent failure somewhere I should wait to fail utterly (intermittent problems are the worst, aren't they?).

electric should run with no battery. i would suspect a jack connection since you unplugged and replugged.

Seems weirder now...

I'll keep an ear on it. Maybe nothing will come of it, since it's working just peachy now.

Loved the interview in PG, btw.

It's a nice interview, I like your story about why you left Schechter and how you did it with his blessing. Not every story ends like that.
