Just curious which strap button your guys use on your Anderson guitars. I like the bottom button myself. I like the way it pulls the face of the guitar against my body.
bottom for me. it lifts the neck more.

Top. I have no idea why. Just cause that is where I put the strap the first time maybe?

I seem to remember this topic from years ago.
Bottom strap works best for me because it tilts the plane of the neck forward a bit and that feels more comfortable - especially when playing with the thumb behind the neck. It keeps my wrist in a more neutral position.
I use both because the older style Anderson guitar straps had holes that captured both strap buttons. I felt this added an extra bit of security.

Depends...I use the bottom one for my HDT and Classic, the top for my Hollow T. :)

Not that I have ever come across any leadweight Andersons but I prefer the bottom strap as it feels like it provides more support...
Sorta the same effect as provided by this "As seen on TV" product :D

I am now a convert.
I could never settle on either one.
I regularly rotate my guitars so they all get played, I found the Anderson never felt quite right.
I decided to have a button installed in the usual middle position as I'm never gonna part with the guitar so resale value isn't an issue.
:D :D :D :D :D

I use the bottom button when I play standing up, but switch to the top button when I sit down. While sitting down, I also adjust the other side of my strap to a button hole about 8" shorter than the original. This gets rid of the excess slack and fits my back and shoulder about the same as when I'm standing up.

Hi,
Out of lurk mode again. Really, really nice to see the Short T although I won't see one over here for real for quite a while I suppose. But yet another Anderson guitar object of desire! BTW, on the topic of strap buttons, how do I order two of those from you (plus maybe another T-shirt or two its summer ;-) even here in Scandinavia). I mean to take part in the poll I must have two strap buttons, right? :-)
Cheers,
Michael
