... in the neck and mid position. they sound incredible, as i have put them in a strat prior to this.
at the same time, i told the tech to check the set up and obviously restring. he is not a bfts trained tech and he said he re filed the nut  !!
i have not given it a good whirl yet, but is it possible to over file/cut the nut to the point of it being a problem?? he also mentioned that the intoe was way out? i know he only uses a strobe, but it is not a peterson with offsets. it played great before and now i notice the tuning isn't holding like it used to? now i am still stretching them in, but never noticed an issue before??
tom, bruce or others, am i in dilemma land or am i over examining a no-problem coincidence?
thanx for any comments,

The fact that he said the intonation was way out may mean that he used a completely different gauge or type of string. Either that or he didn't consider the BFTS.
If your tech didn't take into consideration the BFTS, then your intonation is likely to be quite a way out compared to what comes out of the TAG factory. That being said, ideal intonation needs to be done based on how hard _you_ squeeze the strings when you're playing (irrespective of whether the guitar has BFTS or not). A good tech will watch you play and take that into consideration before blindly setting the intonation. If you don't tell them, most techs will just set it up for their own feel, which might be fine if you play with similar finger pressure.
The only thing filing the nut does is reduce the action of the guitar. If too much is filed off, then the guitar action will be too low in the open position and the string will buzz against the first fret (assuming all else was set up correctly).

If a nut slot is cut too deep then the string can ''rattle'' on the first fret when plucked hard OPEN, not fretted.
The fact that a tech isn't familiar with the BFTS and he said the intonation was way out means you just got your guitar set up NON Feiten-ized. The whole thing with the BFTS is it puts it out of "NORMAL" intonation.
Will filing a nut "ruin" the BFTS adjustment that makes the guitar a BF instrument?

No. The position of the front edge of the nut is what is changed to Feitenize the guitar. Filing it to change its height only affects the action - which in turn will require the guitar to be re-setup to compensate for the action change. But, that applies whether or not you're setting up with BFTS.
