Truss rod??

I've got an o7 cobra,bought it used,but looks and plays amazing.I went to do some adjustment and the truss rod nut is freaking super tight.How tight should these be?

super tight, you might have to put a little muscle into it, its normal.

if it's tight, spin the nut off, not a bad idea to loosen the strings a bit, and put a dab of grease on the end. spin it back on and it should be easier to turn. it's steel on steel so if it gets dry it will gall.

That's what I was thinking as there was an initial pop sort of sound loosening it,and the first thing I thought was,well you know!!!:eek: Thanks Tom,your close by If I need you:D
