So how did I do? What should I expect as far as tone. I've never played or heard a walnut topped guitar. Typically I would have never made a trade like this if it wasn't for an Anderson.

Seems like a good trade. Hard to go wrong with an Anderson.

Great trade!

I played that one when it arrived at Gelb in Redwood City- gorgeous Atom.

Its a rich deep brown color versus that photo posted.

My HDT is a Walnut top. I get a beautiful mid and high out of it on the Bridge/Mid PU setting. It's my go-to sound whenever I'm doing rhythm or funk. If I had to judge, I'd say your tone will be slightly brighter than what you will be used to out of a strat design. JMHO, and, YMMV.

it shouldn't be brighter than a maple necked classic with singles.

Agreed. I was comparing rosewood to rosewood. Sorry for the oversight.
