The bulldogs were the belle of the ball but the Koa-rowdster 2 was my show favorite:cool:

I can't WAIT to get my plus upgraded.
Unfortunately, now it'll happen a week later, since I absolutely need it for the Jan 30/31 weekend.
But Feb 1, it's in the box and on its way to you, Tom.

Wow, that's good to know.
I have been playing almost exclusively rhythm these days and very little lead, and I prefer the feel of the Crowdy over everything, even my Hollow Cobra and my amazing PRS, so I'm anticipating it might get all my playing time for a while.
So sad for my other guitars, though...

I forgot to ask, do the new Crowdsters retain the 4-bolt neck? Does it remain the only TAG without the A-wedge? Just curious...
yes it does. the neck joint is so big that movement has never been an issue.

So who do I have to talk to about buying that beauty....
I was planning to just send mine in for the upgrade, but I have an extra kidney I've been wanting to move... so maybe I'll just sell it and buy this one as a "life partner" for my C+:p
you could get a hold of jack at magdon who hosts this forum. or your local dealer can get it.
sounds like we have a buyer. a proud crowdy owner who needs another. he may post pics of his 3 voice crowdy and the rig that makes it all happen.

Ok, so what are the "details" of having my C+ converted?
What exactly is changed (just adding the new pickup or is it a new SET of matched pickups)
How long does it typically take
and how much does it cost?
And when you describe the "tone" that way it makes me want it, but obviously that's "subjective" so is there any tone you can compare it to just to give me an idea?

Hey Tom,
I'm ready to do this..
Can you shoot me a pm or email to let me know the details and what I need to do to make it happen?
Thanks a ton!
Shannon

Peace.
i am still trying to get my head above water since namm, so i need a few more weeks before getting any mods.
the new neck pickup is added along with the elec selector switch which goes in the existing switch hole. a new hole goes between the existing switch and the bass control. a new style ring goes around the existing bridge pickup. cost is $250 plus return shipping.

Tom,
Where's the tigers eye T classic going and whats the neck spec?
Thanks.
there's a long story about that guitar, too long for here. but that guitar was not really intended for the show and what was supposed to be there was a hollow drop t in light tiger eye. it is still here and has a 1 11/ +.03 neck on it.

Ok, sounds good.
I guess just shoot me an email as soon as you're ready to start up on mods.
I'm ready to send mine out. I got a nice new Fender Pro Tube amp and I'm dying for the guitar tone that I SHOULD be hearing from it... the bridge pickup just doesn't pull off the tone I'm going for, but I have a feeling the neck pickup and/or a combination of the two will sound nice enough to prevent me from having to change guitars in a set (most of the time anyway).
Thanks,
Shannon

Should I wait for you to "update this space" to ship my guitar then? Or should I check back in a couple weeks? Or both.
Thanks!
Peter
i'm thinking end of feb now. i have much programming to do get the bulldogs and 7 strings up and running.

I'm going to hope to ship on March 1. (I use this guitar every fourth weekend, so that should work well.)
Hope you get all caught up.

So... anything new? Tom, Roy, does it look like I can still ship my C+ on Feb 1? Or perhaps earlier?
1st week of march is fine.
Shannon

So you're good for more than one on March 1?
I'm also just waiting for the go ahead....
I actually would like a fresh "setup" on mine while it's there... the intonation has definitely fallen off a bit and it seems the action is probably a bit higher than it initially was.
I never let anyone touch my Crowdy, so I figured it was just the wood finally setting in and I'd just wait until I sent it in for the ++ upgrade to have you guys check that stuff out too.
probably just neck adjustment. yes you can send it in. after march 1st.

Could someone let me know how we schedule?

Gadgetguitar,
go to andersonguitars.com and call the number, they'd be HAPPY to help you out! Or you can PM Tom right here on this forum. Who knows, he might just respond to this thread before too long.
it's $250+return shipping for c+ to plus 2. we have not done any crowdster to plus 2 yet, but it would be $650+shipping. you can pm or email me for any details.

Dare I ask, Tom, is mine (the "lefty" :o ) 'reasonably doable' for the 2nd pup upgrade? (recognizing it might cost me more than $250...)
When I first saw the Crowdster + 2's, I didnt even think about the option of upgrading the C+s'...(even for the right-handed world)
yes we could do the lefty plus 2 mod. it's balance pot that makes all the trouble.
