I'm going to send my Crowdster Plus for the "2" upgrade at the end of the month (after NAMM... look for my guitar and check to arrive on about the 26th or 27th) and have a question for Tom, Roy, or anybody that already has one of these.

There will now be two switches on the guitar, and I'm wondering which one will be closer to the bridge, the pickup selector or the acoustic/both/electric switch.

And... if the pickup selector is the one further away from the bridge, can that be switched? I don't use the acoustic/both/electric switch hardly at all and never in regular performance, but would use that pickup selector all the time. I'm tempted to say that I can get by with one switch and ditch the a/B/e switch, but I do stick it in acoustic only position when I only use the acoustic sound about 2 or 3 times a year.

Another question. Can the pickup selector be a "bigger" switch, like a LP-style toggle, or even close to that? I suspect it can't, looking inside the guitar, and that's totally cool, but I wouldn't mind if it could be made to happen.

And for those who are already using their "Plus 2"... how's it going? How do you like the sound of that additional pickup? If it's even half as useful as the one pickup in there now I'm going to love it like crazy. I suspect that when I'm not playing lead I'll pick up my other electrics less, as to be honest, I have bonded with this guitar in a way that I have never bonded to a guitar, even the Cobra (although that is a VERY close second) and my PRS (which I continue to dig... if that's not sacreligous...).

I'm getting psyched about this, even though I'm going to have the shakes while this guitar is not here in my office to be enjoyed.

Blessings all!
Peter

the pickup selector is the one closest to the bridge. on the retro, a new hole is put between the existing hole and the bass control and the line selector switch is moved to there.
to use a bigger switch it would have o be moved out of line with the other because of an internal wall.

Cool.

So a bigger switch is impossible? Okay.

That's totally cool. I can handle it that way!
