Sorry.. This post was supposed to be a "reply" to the thread about this subject. I guess I hit the wrong button..
Here are my 2 cents...maybe even a wooden nickle..
I have the pleasure of playing/building new Andersons every day. I also get to play lots of other brands when I do repairs on the side. There is a quality that I love about a solid 1-piece maple neck. Now, I know that this is not a true A/B test... but every time I play a non-Anderson 2-piece (fret boarded) maple neck I find there is something missing. And it's always the same "something."
Like Tom said... I would really like to try a true A/B test with two necks... One that is 1-piece and one that is a 2-piece.
