My Suhr just came in! I know it's funny posting about Suhr on this forum, but Suhr and Anderson are definitely my two favorite guitar companies and in any case, both guys are friends. After waiting a month and a half longer than the ETA, it's almost anti-climatic, but it was definitely well worth waiting for. Model-classic; maple top in sky blue burst over basswood; hardtail; DSH+ and DSV+ hum pickups; oil finished maple neck with maple board. Pretty straightforward-I wanted a combination between a 80's guitar and a more modern guitar. Now I gotta get home to hear it since my digital headphone amps here at work make all my guitars sound the same!

I have a Suhr Classic, sonic blue alder body, maple neck/braz board, Low Peak Suhr pickups. John does a tremendous job on his guitars, on par with TAG from quality, playability and tonal standpoints. Sounds like you have a nice guitar there Mark!

Thanks Stan! TA and JS make IMO the best guitars in the world (at least, of all the different guitars I've played). The great thing about it is that TA and JS don't necessarily compete with each other, so owning guitars from both companies doesn't become redundant.

I can't speak about Suhr guitars, not ever having played one. I feel I can speak about TA quality and playability, owning 6 of them. I would like to say that my Grosh is extremely well made and sounds wonderful. IMO, it's as well made as my Andersons. For me, it fits the bill as the perfect strat-style guitar. Between it and my TA classic (fiesta red) I have the strat sound down.

congrats! I loved the Suhr I had. I love the Grosh I have. Just pure tone. Hmmmm....and if you need to make room by letting a certain Cobra go you know whom to call. Enjoy!

Thanks Thomas. Man, I can't believe you haven't found a cobra yet! Have you been gigging without a back-up?

totally agreed! TA quality is up there with the best along with Suhr. Suhr standards and Anderson cobras-those are my two favorite guitars.

Mark,
Wolfgang's due in early June (?), per the Custom Shop. The body's complete and the neck's getting sprayed this week.

The Retro Reissue Bullseye Strathead, is due in mid-June, per the vendor. No idea where the Charvel guys are in the manufacturing. http://www.jacksonguitars.com/misc/winternamm2004/images/full/namm21.jpg

The best news, is that my Cajun Red DT arrived yesterday!http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/rocker.gif I'll have the pix and review posted shortly!
