I was lucky enough to own a Drop Top in Bora Bora back in the mid nineties but had to sell it (and just about everything else)a few years ago when times got tough....2-22-92A if it's still out there.

Last week my second Anderson arrived, a 1994 Classic. It's in amazing shape and after a restring and setup with heavier strings it plays every bit as great as my old Drop Top...better even as it doesn't have that annoying Floyd going "boing boing boing" when you really lean into things.

With an Anderson back in the family it seemed like a good time to sign up to your very cool forum and begin the twelve step program back to guitar respectability.

Hi Roy! :D

Very nice axe!

I am recently back in the family as well. Ironically, after also selling a drop top and the new (used) Andy is a classic. lol

Very nice. Good to know I'm not the only person walking this path.

I had a chance to buy other nice guitars before this but I knew that if I waited long enough the right Tom would turn up. In this case on eBay from a minister named Tom so... you know...divine intervention and all that. I pretty much had to buy it or risk my eternal soul.

Welcome dvo!!

What a lovely Classic..........and one hell of a first step, I'd say!! Luckily there are at least eleven more Andy models that may well help you complete your entire 12 step program.

We are always here for you..................:D

I like the idea of each step showing up in the form of a new Tom. Oh my, I like that very much indeed :D

Happiness is found at the bottom of a guitar case.

Ahh!!! :) I see a Dunlop Big Stubby in there. That's what I've been playing for years now... I use the 2mm ones though... the one in the pic looks like a 3mm.

I think you're right. I love Stubbys, in fact I just got a couple of the triangle Stubbys which are very very cool. :D

got around to posting a very short video of the new Classic in 'action'.

I apologize in advance for using the dreaded Frampton lick to open..not sure what came over me there. :o
