I believe I read that somewhere. Could be wrong, but I hope I can be educated on the subject.

the t shapes are the same size, .05" thinner last time i looked. the classic and drop tops are .188" smaller all the way around. did that back in the 80's to make them a little sleeker.

I like the slightly slimmer look and feel on the classic. The edges of the horns are a touch less rounded, which again I like. They give the guitar a slightly more aggressive look.
