OK. Looking at a Hollow T Classic that currently has an M1 in the neck, and a TM3 in the bridge.
Would like to add a middle pickup that I could switch on and off (with a mini toggle). That way I could keep the current 5-way and all it's tones, but be able to add alittle "quack" with any of the 5 positions. I realize I would not be able to use the middle pickup by itself.
The question: what would be the best choice? I know adding a 3rd M series pickup may be the obvious suggestion. However----I'm thinking more SF. Just like the idea of the smaller size.
Next question: what about "balance" with the current pickups? That TM3 is one HOT puppy. Would it overpower the SF in the middle?
Thoughts, please. (Don't be afraid to tell me I'm nuts)
