Beat me to ot! :)
Btw, HUGE TAG "A" on Crosbys guitar strap elicited 5 calls to me with people going, "I didn't know Anderson was so mainstream".
My response: "they aren't!, you're just noticing for the first time"
he's been very good to us showing up all over the place with that guitar.

Watched it last night night and my wife went "OOOO, that's pretty! What kind is that?" I pointed her to the wall where five of his brothers live. She said, "Oh yeah, I really like those ones with the A's on them. Don't sell those."
As if.
that's a good woman there!
I was already typing the new thread, and hadn't said a word, and my wife turned to me and said;
"Don't you have any of those guitars?"
I said, yes dear I do............and pointed to my Koa HDT and said "See that "A" logo?"

You ever leave that woman you should have yourself committed...

Heck I'll beat that. My wife paid, out of her savings, for half my brand new Crowdster three years ago (during the "big scare").
Of course, I still have another five years to go before I'm allowed to get any other Christmas gifts... ask me if it was worth it. And yes, I'm keepin' 'er.

TA's seem to have a pretty high WAF- Wife Acceptance Factor. Unlike low WAF items such as large plasma TVs, subwoofers, motorcycles, etc.....

Thats very important! I will make sure that before I get married my future wife meets the necessary WAF criteria for all my gear (not just TAGs... but most importantly TAGs)

Yeah, Mrs. Thoth is a keeper. She's my business partner in my current music project, too. She calls my studio gear "boxes with knobs" but she has an unfailing ear for music that is fully developed ("good," "hit," "moves!" etc.) and music that has more to go/needs to be abandoned ("I don't know honey...", "uh uh," silence).

Interesting. I've been working on an instrumental project since August 4th, and my wife is the co-producer, so to speak. Actually, she's more the financier so she gets some editorial approval of guitar tones and performance. For years, I'd just assumed that she didn't care- but what I've discovered was that she appreciates being asked for an opinion. And more importantly, she appreciates that I'm willing to act on that opinion instead of just saying, "no, honey, you may hate it, but GUITAR PLAYERS will love it..."
We still can't really see eye to eye too often on guitar purchases, though. Her main concern is how it will look with my eyes. haha

Well heck - I'll piggy-back onto the "Love my Wife Train". She thoroughly encourages my music endeavors and offers plenty of well thought out constructive criticism when needed. It's hard enough to launch into artistic stuff. Having someone there rootin' you on makes it a whole lot easier. :D
