So, I've been listening to Live at the Fillmore East and Atlanta Music Festival cd's a ton lately. Any tips on matching the guitar sounds? For some reason, I think Marshall amps are involved. Been trying my P-90 equipped Cobra Special to get the right tone. Any help would be appreciated.

In the Live At The Fillmore Days I remember both Duane and Dicky using Les Pauls into Marshalls. I believe Duane used an SG when he needed to play slide. Unfortunately that's about the only details I can provide.

Thanks Stan. I seem to recall a picture of Duane Allman playing an SG with P-90's in it. Someone told me that Germino amps can get the "Fillmore East" sound but I have no experience with that amp maker.

That would be a Marshall 50 watt Bass head for Duane.
