Hi Guys ,
Anyone using custom string set up ?
After refreting two of my guitars I am again on the road searching for ideal string setup matching jumbo SS frets :
#9-46 are well balanced , little bit on soft side for using with SS frets
#10-46 aren't so well balanced , my humble feeling tells me they are too stiff on the E ,( B ) , G ,sloppy on the D,(A), E (heavy E string has too low tension while E and G have too much tension ) .
That is exactly wrong , should be opposite ,IMHO .
I would like to try something like :
E 9.5
B 12.5
G 16.5
D 26.5
A 36
E 47 or 48 or even 49 , which means softer on the high strings , heavier on the bass strings .
Will be very appreciated if someone knows who is making such a custom setup (one brand preferable ) .
