OK, I should know this, and I think I might but I want to make sure:

If my soon-to-be-ordered Hollow T has, say, a TF1/SF1/TF3 pickup package in it, and I've got the push/pull add-bridge tone pot, then what exactly do the 5-way switch positions correlate to? I'm a little confused since I thought the xF-series pickups weren't splittable.

Thanks...

The 5 positions like a regular strat?

(Maybe I'm mis-understanding the question.)

Correct. I think Anderson's regular switching for 3 pickup Teles is to have the booster on a mini-toggle, a push/pull tone pot to add the bridge pickup, and a 5-way toggle for the neck and middle pickups, but I'm not sure what each stop on the 5 way correlates to, since the bridge pickup has it's own control (the push/pull tone pot).

Well, I think your confusion is with the push/pull , add bridge option. You have a 5-way switch, like a regular strat ,so...............................

1st (rear position)---bridge only
2nd---bridge/middle
3rd (middle position)---middle only
4th---middle/neck
5th---neck only

The push/pull tone control ADDS the bridge to positions 4 & 5. So..................

4th position being middle/neck, becomes bridge/middle/neck. (All three! Very cool)
5th position being neck only, becomes neck/bridge. (Traditional Tele sound! Also very cool).

Hope this helps. I've seen variations lately where the push/pull knob kicks in the booster. Or the middle position is the neck/bridge sound.

I love 3-pickup T's.

Ah! OK, thanks GASMAN. I was confused 'cause I was thinking the 5-way was only for the neck and middle pickups, since the bridge was controlled by the push/pull. I have a Classic that's wired the way you described, so it makes sense they're doing that for 3 p'up Ts too. Thanks for the help.

gasman got it right, thanks!
with the sf's, we sometimes use a mini switch for boost.
with a 2 pickup guitar some people have the boost on the pushpull.

Stevem7, I recently received my Hollow T(Chrome Yellow, no pics yet) with the same pickup selection, add bridge and VA Boost. I love it. Three pickup T's are wonderful.
