I have a VA boost with a 5 way switch and add bridge on my latest TAG order,
the mini toggle will be a 3 way switch, are the 3 way positions ,series, para, and VA boost?
Also when the VA boost is engaged, will it be hum canceling?.

VA Boost is a passive boost. It is not related to hum cancellation.

If I may chime in. My new Cobra has the VA boost. It is not a "hum cancelling" device. In fact, if you're standing next to your amp, with the guitar volume on "11" (it's one louder), facing the speaker and the boost on it will most likely increase the hum. However, let me give full accolades and compliments to the VA boost. When I turn this little baby on when using the neck pickup (it's an M1) it is a VERY nice bit of "umph." I notice a bit of increase when in the bridge position (H3). So essentially I have an H3.2 in the bridge. The middle is an M1. When I turn on the VA bost with that I have a M1.4. When I turn on the boost in the neck it's about an M2. I can only assume the difference is more to my ear than if it was put on a scope to see the actual amplitude which to me would indicate the difference is with respect to the placement of the pickups on the guitar itself. WHEW, ok. I got a bit windy there. The short answer is the boost is exactly what it says it is and as advertised, it's like having a little boost pedal in the guitar. Additionally, the mini toggle is a 2 position switch, ON or OFF.
Personally, moving forward, I don't think I want to own another guitar without the boost. I really like the flexibility it gives me.
Hope this helps.
the only thing i;ll add is that on SSH guitars with the boost, we now have a 3 way switch. here's what it does.
up guitar acts like a 3 single coil guitar
middle it acts like an SSH guitar
down it boosts all sounds.
the only reason it would hum more is because there is more coming out of the guitar, more signal more noise.
