OK ,let start this thread .
It will be a long one , prepare some snacks and cool drinks :(

The idea is to build specs for my very first TAG with little help from you guys ,thanks for the inputs .
Music
Shortly ,I am playing mostly guitar instrumental stuffs , trying to break and then to extend the standards in simple Blues ,R&Roll or Hard Rock song , using my own tricks from Balkan's music , dramatic harmonies from Celtic music , all textured and dissolved in Hendrix/Blackmoore/Moore/Vai/Pablo Gilberto/Satriani bag tricks .
So ,you can imagine ,I need guitar which can do all of that .
From chimie and sparkle highs ,over roaring midrange to dangerous but tight (no muddy) bass area .
Simply ,I am looking for something that does not exist : Ideal Guitar :)
The closest guitar to that is (was ?) my current axe Number 1 - Jem 7 vwh with Sustainiac .

Bridge/Tremolo System -Floyd Rose
Because of lots of semi ,and even 1/4 or 1/3  intervals (micro-tones) in my Balkans and funny glissando's in Celtic way of playing ,Floyd Rose is a must , even I don't like it as a device too much .
Lucky Western music ,the smallest interval is the half step :)

Neck - 1 11/6 , even and straight
It seems exactly what I need , little bit narrower in fingerboard but thicker and deeper in shape than Jem Wizard neck .

Guitar model - Drop Top , or Drop Top Hollow
So,this is my first dilemma :
Am I right here ? Is DT(H) the most versatile TAG ?
(this is stupid question ,btw)

Top wood /Body wood
Thinking about Koa on something . Not because of tone (I don't know that yet ) but because of beautiful ,3D glassy look .

Here, 'll finish this post , because I can't go further before choose the body wood ,or should I'd first to choose neck/fingerboard wood ?
Resume :
Done :
1. Neck 1 11/16 even
2. Floyd Rose
3. DT or DT H
Has to be done:
4. Top on Body
5. Body (all body must be the same as top ,btw ,don't like two colour bodies for top and back , sorry)
6. Neck
7.Fingerboard
8. Pickups
9. Pickup controls
10.Others ...

Huh , please pop in , suggestions more than welcome , I would like to do it until I still have this positive GAS !
(and don't tell nothing to my dear Wife )
Cheers,
Zoran

Hey Zoran,

I'm sure there are a lot of people on the forum here who could help, but it sounds to me like you'd want to give Roy @ Anderson a call. I was in a similar dilemma once when I couldn't figure out my body wood, pickup, etc. choices for an Anderson. A 20 minute phone call with Roy and I was all set. :)

The only advice I can give is that you ABSOLUTELY need a Floyd on your Anderson!!! Is it even called a guitar without one??? :D :D :D

Cheers,
Markus

Markus is EXACTLY right. Spend some time talking with Roy. For the one I have being built Roy and I spoke several times to make sure we had what I wanted. He is VERY patient and willing to make sure you are 100,000% satisfied with the result.

Hi guys, that's me again :)
OK , know what ?
I (we) did it !
With Tom's help , better to say with his discrete , but very firmly ;) guidance , I managed some how to choose a specs for my First TAG .
Only I can say at the moment is that I am very happy with the specs - it might looks like a little bit brave and unusual specs , comparing to a " regular " TAG , if something like that does exist .
Yes , I did took a chance a little bit ,but I am sure everything will be out of my expecations on the end .

So ,wish me luck !

Thanks to all for your help and welcome on this site again .
I am here to stay .
Cheers,
Zoran

ps
I will have a Floyd ,of course

Hey Wolf !
I thought to keep it as a secret for a while ....but it seems I am not so strong character ...
OK , on the first view it might looks like a Floyded Cobra , what is not possible as we all know , there is no Cobra with Floyd Rose .
On the second view it looks still like a Cobra  : finally , Tom decided to put Floyd on Cobra , you will say .
On the third view , one will realize it might be a Drop Top , but still looks like a f...ng Cobra :D
On the fourth view , one will find only H1 and H3 , no middle pickup , just a simple 5 way switch for 2xH , not usual for Drop Top (but standard for Cobra ? )

Color ? Color is the most craziest ,sexiest , out of this World - Sweet 'n Sour Red .
Flamed Maple on plain Mahagony S body , no hollows .
Rosewood maple neck .
Matched colors on back and headstock .
Hardware is Chrome , plastic parts are cream .
Neck is Even , frets will be jumbo or heavy , will decide in a next few weeks ...
Sound , will see and hear .
Anyway , these specs are created around my specific tone/sound request and Tom shows me a right way how to achieve it .

The name ?
Her name is : FAT'n SEXY REDY
Redy is pronounced as "ready " , tone should be fat and sexy and Redy always in the willing mood and ready !

Cheers ,
Zoran

The process is exciting , the waiting is excruciating, the reward is EXTREMELY satisfying !
