I am getting ready to get a Hollow T Classic, I was going to go with swamp ash/ash until I saw the rosewood/alder body (I have always wanted a rosewood tele). So, I am looking for any opinions as to how the two might differ tonally.
BTW, great forum... Thanks Jack of Magdon, I appreciate that you do this for the Anderson crowd.

Might this be the one?

The first TAG I ever saw was a Hollow T with, now I think about it, a rosewood top. It might have been walnut, but either way, it was the first electric guitar ever to "catch my eye" after years of building acoustics. I was awed by its unplugged resonance!
While not traditional, I think the rosewood/alder combination would be awesome, both visually and tonally. I'm not a fan of pickguards, but you're not me...and be grateful for that! Good luck and more important, have fun with your quest!

Thanks, I am really looking forward to it.
I finally came to my senses and realized that I sound like me... I mean I can get my tone...
Well anyway, I went with wood choices that I have wanted in a Telecaster since 1968 ;) Neck too :D
I hate smilies:)
