Hey there fellow Anderson players,

Just wanted to share what I've been up to this past weekend... not sure if anyone is interested, but I figure one can never do enough promo for the music & the band... :D

The music...

And the gear used to record it...

We'll have to do some more recording this and next month and hope to release our first full length album in September on iTunes, CD Baby, etc.

Anyway, thanks for listening and let me know what you think... good or bad.

Cheers,
Markus

Thanks Mike. Glad you like the teaser. :) LP??? I don't even own a Les Paul anymore. Playing Andersons made me sell all my non-Anderson guitars... except for my 7 string... and that's only 'cause Tom keeps resisting building one for me... ;)

Anyway, yes... so far I've used the Alder Classic you see in the pic and an Alder Pro Am. We'll see what else will happen when we continue recording later this month. I have a Mahogany/Maple DT w/ HCs on order for August. If it arrives in early August, I hope to use that on the album as well... we'll see.

Cheers,
Markus

Markus, I love it...there are so many folks (bandmates included) that have this 'illusion' that the only way to get a thick 'chunky' sound is via LP:mad:

...that is until I whip out my floyd-loaded, HN3+ DTC!

I know you've got the 'flamethrower' in one of yours as well. Those little guys thump and burrrrn. Here's to an all TAG recording!

..and on the DT w HC's - that's gonna be nice - obligatory clipage please! :)

I actually have the flamethrower in all my Andersons... :D :D :D
The new Drop Top slated for August will be an exception as it will have a HC3 in the bridge... and sure, you'll see it the day it arrives. It's going to look super sweet!!!

....:eek:OMG, really? no wonder you've got such an appreciable low-mid in "dem samp-lars"...

I know a lot of guys with TAGs (outside of the esteemed forum members here). NOT a single guy (present co. excluded of course:p ) can wield (aka: withstand/endure) the POWER that is the HN3+.

but to have multiple TAGs with the FLAMETHROWER p/up???

...(bows down) "we are NOT worthy"!! - KICK A$$!!!:D ;)

LOL. I don't know... I guess it all depends on what kinda music you play and then also on personal preference. I just love the flamethrower! Even though I remember that in the beginning I always felt that the HN3+ wasn't quite hot enough... :D

Oh, and as for the lows... and I'm not sure if this is obvious from the recordings or not... I play in Drop C#. ;)

Sounds cool..personally I'm afraid of trying the flamethrower! What gauges are you using to play drop C? LOL I had to go out and buy a new guitar for that!?!?! :D

You should try it... the pickup is great!
As for the string gauge, I use .010-.046. The low C# gets a bit floppy that way, which is what I'm after...

I love this thread - it's attracted all 3 of the most die-hard TAG/floyd players on the forum!:p
