Picked this up at Charley's this week. 05-04-09A. A Cobra in sweet&sour sauce, HC1/HC2, V booster, pull splits middle. Happy medium, heavy frets. Another customer ordered it, but fell on hard times, so I picked up the slack. It's pretty close to what I would have ordered in a Cobra, other than the neck size and strap button. I don't know if I would have ordered this color, but I love it and it is close to what I would have ordered.

My pics don't do the flame maple justice. But, the color is pretty accurate.

I have to say that after only about 3 hours plugged in, I really like these pups. The split middle is some of the best single coil goodness I have had with out single coils. The HC2 has as much output (sounds like a little more) as the H2+ in my Classic, but it's fatter and thicker to me. (Brian is installing an HF2 in the Classic,so I'll try to compare them after I get it back on Tuesday). V boost on for a little thicker more compressed OD tone, off for a more open OD tone.

I was a little uncertain about the neck size, but I have had no problems with it yet. Feels comfortable, and I can play Jimmi style a little easier than the +.030 HM on the Classic. Funny, my Thorn Jr90 with a measurement of .845 at the first fret felt smaller.

Anyway, I'm VERY HAPPY with the new Andy. I was afraid it would be too close the Classic (10-16-08N) in tone, but it covers a whole different sonic pallet.

Cobra with a trem!!! I love it!.........

Yep, the trem is what edged the Cobra over an Atom for me. :D

Played it in church this morning. Sounds great, and covers a lot of ground for just 2 pups. The HCs seems to be more responsive to picking dynamics than the H2+. The HC2 is fat and snarly with some crunchy OD.
