I sent the seller an email saying please remove it or I will report it to eBay. Lets see what happens.

Just like the title and description in the text don't say "Tom Anderson Drop Top Classic"? :rolleyes:

Maybe it's a Tom Andersou? ;)

The guy answered my contact. He's playing dumb. I replied again, and made it clear that it was not an Anderson, and that he needed to remove the auction before eBay catches up with him...........

We'll see...........

BTW........the eBay "reporting system" is a PIA.

But his grandfather paid $4500..

Ebay still has this auction up. Can more of you notify Ebay so this goes away?

eBay yanked the auction.

Interestingly, I contacted the guy, at first he played dumb. Then I replied and made it clear that in fact this guitar was not an Andy, and he simply had to read the decal on the headstock, which did NOT say "Anderson". I also reported the auction to eBay as fradulent.

This idiot replied to my second message to him last night after I'd gone to bed. He said that I should learn how to read!!! :eek: LOL

This morning, not only is the auction yanked, I can't message the guy via eBay. So, I don't know if they simply pulled the auction, or if they've pulled his eBay membership, or limited his activities in some way??

I'd sure like to assure him that, in fact, I can read. :) :cool:

He started out well enough.........

"I'm not sure about guitars my grandpa gave it to me 85 is the year made i believe. If you can tell me if it's real or not please do."

So, I did. I assured him that it was not an Anderson, and pointed out that the name on the headstock didn't seem to say Anderson, but "Andersou". Here's his next reply...........a bit more to the point, you could say;

"learn how to read"

:D

I didn't reply to that. Yet, a little over two hours later he sent me another love letter;

"actually you might need glasses it clearly states tom anderson drop top classic go bug someone else"

Feel the love.................:cool:

My approach was to explain the TAG numbering system to him, ask him for the number, and encourage him to go to the website and find the specs on his guitar . . . here's what he sent back:

851130

Looks like the guitar's maker is even copying Tom's numbering system to a degree . . .

:eek:
