To all you pedal connoisseurs,

I'd like to try to get a bit more voxy chime and hopefully I can do so with a pedal instead of running a second head. If there is any such animal, please let me know. What is out there these days, hopefully within a reasonable price range? (under $200)

Thanks,
Ray K.

Check these out. They got a great review. The sound clips are amazing too.

Thanks, Ernie!

Yeah, if nothing else I really enjoyed listening to the demo clip.

In the meantime I've found a few more to consider. One would be the Tech 21 Liverpool from their Character series. There are several average Joe demos around so this one has gotten my curiosity up.

I guess I should have mentioned I'm looking for a pedal that does the cleanish side of things well. Anything over and beyond that is gravy.

have heard great things about that one. it sure has enough tone control if you're running it into something that doesn't start out vox like. i have seen them used in that price range.

Thanks for the replies!

Right now, I'm leaning toward the Liverpool. I figure I can buy it locally or order it, check it out, and if it's not up to par it's easy to return. Also, the demos of all of the pedals mentioned so far are good, but the ones I've seen/heard of the Liverpool make it seem to be more in the sonic territory that I'm looking for.

Of course, you never know for sure until you open up the "box of chocolates."

Thanks,
Ray K.

Did you look at the Wampler Cranked AC?

Sure did, Jack. Especially now that he also offers it in kit form and I like to build when I have the time.

Only thing is, the demos didn't sound like it would clean up very well. I could shoot Brian an email and inquire.

Thanks,
Ray K.
