Hey, folks,
I'm headed to Dallas to visit my sister this week and thought it might be fun to visit some guitar dealers in the neighborhood...obviously TAG dealers. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Texas Book Repository. No way there wasn't a second shooter on the grassy knoll.
Then to Charlies...
There is a pretty cool jazz bar in Addison too. Kind of an upscale place. Can't remember the name unfortunately.

Danno, I've been to the book repository but couldn't find any books. But that was 20+ years ago. I'll check it out to see if they have some new titles...
As to clubbing, that's not on the list. My sister has four grandchidlren of whom I've only met and held one...and he's a cutie! The youngest has been named after me so I need to make a good impression. Probably too soon to give him a guitar.
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
Did you say too soon to give him a guitar?????????
.........kidding.........just kidding!! Have a GREAT trip!!
too soon. if he's not old enough to play one, he's at least old enough to crawl all over one. gotta get'em started young.

What time do you plan on hitting Charley's tomorrow?
I might stop by mid-day to early afternoon. I hope I need to pick up an HF2 if it shipped.

Don't know yet when we're going to Charley's. I suspect the visit will be brief since my wife will be with me. She has an amazing talent for recognizing the early stages of a guitar buying frenzy and extracts me from the environment...immediately!
As soon as I know when we'll be there I'll drop you a note. Thanks!

Oh, and Don--
I didn't get my first TAG until I was 55. And not only am I still too young to play it, I can't bring myself to crawl all over it either. Mine is definitely a case of delayed development!

Hey Lofton,
I too have delayed development.......got my first Andy at 51. However, I am also Guitarded, and am attempting to make up for lost time by owning dozens of guitars and amps............I'm not sure that this approach will provide a "cure", but it sure is fun trying!! :D
All three of my sons had guitars by the time they were 7 or 8. Granted, they were NOT Andersons. But, still....................
And, 2 out of the 3 still play.

Thank you, Don. I feel better.
At what point (as in, how many guitars, amps, etc., must I own) should I be able to play? Or do I need to practice?
L.
LOL......:D
Being able to play keeps the guitars from being lonely...............
