My hollow "Koabra" has landed!
I'm loving my Atom but the T body shape is just "home" for me- the body and solid RW neck feels great to hold, play and it just resonates beautifully!
Mucho thanks again to Tom, his great team and Brian H for making this one happen!

That is an amazing guitar!! Congrats!! I'm really diggin that rosewood neck.
BTW........how can it have a 12-09-09 born on date???????????
Man, I am IN TROUBLE..........first the VA 7's, then the solid rosewood neck.............I'm getting that not so subtle bloated feeling again..............
enr1co...........that's a stunner. Congrats, again. Play it in health and happiness!!
Any chance of some sound clips??? :)

Thanks mdrs! The rosewood neck is killer- this may the last guitar I order for
a while ( yeah right  ) so I went ahead and splurged on the RW neck and so glad I did. I just feels so nice and I think it tonally compliments the koa/hollow/mahog wood combination.
Regarding the serial#, if a date is not already taken when ordering a spec guitar, you can request for a
custom date, ie. bday, anniversary etc. In this case, "Happy Advanced B-day" to me! :D
I think this small custom detail is such a generous feature that Tom allows

Id love to try a sound clip when I can ever make one worthy of posting.... otherwise Im afraid that posting one of my hack playing may be detrimental to Anderson sales :o

VERY NICE guitar Encrico!!! What a beautiful Koa Top!!! Really Stunning!!!
Congrats!
12-09-09E??? Ha!!! My Classic that I just got back in March has 12-09-08S as the Serial Number, which is the actual birthday of our little daughter! :) :) :)
It's indeed a great and generous feature that Tom allows!!!
Here are two pics... one of our daughter on December 9th '08 and the new Classic with her birthday Serial#. ;)

Hi Don,
Yes, both necks in the pick the rosewood and the mahogany have a satin finish on the entire back. The headstock faces are gloss.

Hey, Markus! Great photos and a great sentiment!
I tried to do a serial number lookup on your Classic but it didn't come up. What are the body/neck woods and body color?
Thanks!

Nope, I have SFs in there and they sound GREAT!
As for the HN3+... :D I absolutely love it!!! For the type of music I play the "Flamethrower" as they also call it, is just the right thing to have in the bridge position! Here's a link to some YouTube footage of our last show if you want to take a listen: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=B7C47D35CCB8273D. I'm playing straight into a Genz Benz Diablo100 - which was the house amp I had to use that night...
congrats on your latest addition markus. that's a great smile you have there.

Thanks so much Tom! It was an absolutely unbelievable day! I couldn't stop smiling... and still can't! :)
And, believe it or not, little Anika already knows you also!  There's a large framed picture of you holding another very special guitar in our office and she loves locking at it... she knows you as "Uncle Tom"! :D

E, very observant! I felt it was getting a little ridiculous posting pix every 6 mos, and coming off as braggin' (as if posting the serial #'s in your sig isn't :))....so just layin' low for now! She's a beaut though...:D :p

I know this is Enrico's thread and I hesitate to hijack his beautiful Koa guitar thread (and, man, those are GREAT looking), but...
Hey Markus, really nice vids (the intros are fun too). I like the Soundgarden meets STP sorta thing ya'll have going on. I think your choice to fill in the "solo" breaks with arpeggiated notes rather then an over-abundance of single note wanking (which, I'm afraid, is a habit I all too often fall back in to) is a nice way to go, especially in a three piece. Good solid drummer and very talented singer/bassist too. Also nice alternative to three chord power trio stuff...much more creative, original and interesting. Well done.

Thanks so much for your nice words! :) Glad you dig on our tunes - I like your "Soundgarden meets STP" comparison! That is high praise! :)
Glad also you liked my cheesy intros to the videos! Clearly I had too much time on my hands when I edited the vids!!! :D :D :D
As for soloing, I strongly believe that a guitar solo should always try to serve the bigger construct of the song, not the other way around. Sometimes you'll hear me noodle around a bit (like in "If I told you" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pVdcCCeG_4) or "Frozen in time (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHejtDkv2nw&feature=PlayList&p=B7C47D35CCB8273D&index=1)" at the end), but sometimes the bass player/singer and I decide that there simply isn't any room for a shred solo in a song and I find something else to play. That's one of the great things about playing in a three piece... you have a lot of room as a guitarist.
Anyway, thanks for the nice words again... I'll pass them on to Brandon (bass/vocals) and Bryan (drums) and sorry again Enrico we hijacked your thread. :) We didn't mean to...

No worries about hijacking the thread- you can only oooh-aahhh koa so much ;) It was fun to discover our special interest with December 9th
and provide opportunity to show off your beautiful little girl. We've a
7 yr old daughter and your photo just reminded me how fast they grow :)
Thanks much for sharing your playing and video clips - great sounding band!
