I prefer the Lonestar Classic, myself. But I would be interested in checking out the new Mark V.

The Four Tops called. They said that you should give the money back for the Karaoke lessons.

Sorry... I thought I had observed from other posts in this particular topic that folks were noting what amp(s) setup(s) they were using with a TAG. I'm fascinated about the nature of the comments such a simple post generated ("...And the point is?" really made me laugh).
If you want a sales pitch about Mesa Boogie amps and why after several years of 'trial and error' searching, I settled on a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special, I'll be happy to share that... I have to routinely cover music genres ranging from contemporary jazz to country to pop to rock. I needed an amp that in conjunction with my pedal board would allow me to create the sounds I needed. The Lonestar gets me there... The workmanship is excellent -- the range of expression is sufficient for what I do and it marries up well to my TA Drop Top.

If you're looking for controversy over amp selections, try someone else's topic... You won't get that from me... There are a lot of fine amps out there that 'get it done' (much to my wife's chagrin, since she never knows when the Fedex or UPS truck pulls up to the house what they'll be dropping off).
Hope this helps -- thanks!
in our defense there are several threads about what gear we use, and your post would have been met there with a simple howdy. i must admit that i was not sure what you were posting about, hence my response. i don't believe any of the above posts were hostile in any way, and you won't find that stuff here anyway. we all agree that what works for one may not work for another and that we're all just mostly enjoying the quest. some are further along than others, or maybe that should read more satisfied than others. if you haven't already noticed, we tend to get off on tangents but the teasing is always in fun. welcome.

LSS is my favorite amp after going through a couple of dozen. I put in a Wizard and that was a nice upgrade. Still sporting the stock MB tubes. I was playing my TA Classic with M's this morning. The Classic is a black finish with a maple board. Sounded wonderful through the tan LSS.
It's my Black and Tan combo.

And then there was the time I thought I started the session with....
Hey Mike,
I think you missed a spot on that board! WOW!
Yeah we have some fun here. Great place to get ideas, help, or just shoot the breeze. You will enjoy it here!
Cool rig dude! Welcome the Tommy's Holiday Camp!
BTW: Your arrangement on We Three Kings is way cool...

Hello, Mike, and welcome!
Clearly this crowd is anxious to see new posts from new "posters." This is a terrific group of people without a mean bone in any of them.
Opportunities to poke fun are rarely overlooked and usually exploited. I won't tell you know I know this.
Stick around and keep on posting and, in case you didn't know, pics of your guitars are mandatory. Photos of pets and children are accepted as well.

Notice how poorly he spells!

We won't tell you the secret handshake until you do. Those go over in the newbie section! Andersons are required. Others are optional. We like everything.
BTW, Lofton, (ConnemaraGuitar) is a great guy and a PA resident too. I just could not resist.
I'm about 50 minutes South of Mechanicsburg, if you ever want to jam. I'm currently working with a great keyboard player and sax player, so I won't tell them about you cause they will probably fire me and go after you.
Check your Myspace for a friend request.
mechanicsburg is a town? maybe we should have guitarville here?

I stand (or sit, rather) corrected. One forum member has a mean bone in his body...and that would be his head bone. He lives in central PA, about 50 miles from Mechanicsburg.
On the other hand, he has a heart of gold.
If you guys decide to get together, please let me know. I can fetch sodas and haul stuff. Plus I have an amp I'm trying to get to Danno and that would be a good opportunity to meet you folks in person.

FOGG, If you come to next week's ClamFest, I'll carry your LSS. Actually, I'll put it on a golf cart and drive it to the stage.
No fuss, no muss

MAN I WOULD LOVE TO JAM IN THAT PLACE!Well, that's actually the main reason I built the studio 10 years ago -- a place to jam. Send me a PM -- I'd be happy to host a Central PA Andy Jam, or at least a get-together where we can talk Andys.
and what a beautiful "guitarville" studio it is!Thank's Enrico. You've reminded me that the studio pix are way out of date.
