Was looking for a bluesy, rock, jazzy S-H combo.
So I bought a Telecaster . . . and hated it.
Was introduced to a TA Hollow Drop Top T Classic with the M size pickups
Burnished orange burst w/binding quilty maple top on alder. Fat tasty frets and easy to play even taper neck. Best neck I've ever played! Just finishing my first 4hour band session with it and could keep going.
Sounds are classic and pure. I can get single coil/tele sounds throughout with smooth humbucking tones in the front and back. Add distortion and it gets crunchy and oh so fun to play. The tone control actually works and can really change all the sounds
I am still getting used to the Kickback switch on the middle position, but it seems to give me endless ability to play chords without getting too heavy. Also for very classic country tone. Push the tone back in and the sound becomes very full and complete.
I found the middle position with tone pulled out and turned down/off, jazz chords seem to just pour off the fretboard.
I have found my first last guitar.
Will try to post pics now.
