Hi all,

I’ve been lurking here for a few weeks reading and learning all I could about TAGs. I’ve played Stats and LPs for many years but was only recently turned on to these amazing guitars by a friend. I just picked up a truly gorgeous HDTC and have been in tone nirvana the past few days...man are my fingertips sore from playing so much!

The funny thing is, I had the opportunity to know more about Anderson guitars a long time ago. I’ve lived in Thousand Oaks (next to Newbury Park) for years, and back when my wife and I moved into our first condo we received a nice welcome visit from one of our new neighbors. Somehow it came up that I played guitar and she mentioned that she worked for a local guitar maker named, you guessed it, Tom Anderson Guitarworks. Having never heard of him, I think my response was something lame like, “Oh that’s cool, I play a Strat” LOL!

If only I knew then what I know now!!!

Here she is:

She's an '02 but appears to be practically unplayed.

I am 90% sure that was her name. We lived a ways down the street from her so we didn't see her much, but I remember what a nice welcome it was.

VERY NICE!!!!!!!

Welcome!

Thank you!

welcome homey!

LOL thanks. I am sure you hear this a lot, but yours is by far the most awesome guitar I have played. My other axes will be awfully lonely in their cases from now on ;)

Oops it wasn't Rachel.. maybe Laurie? Were there any other ladies working for Tom around 2002? In any case, she was good people indeed.

Can you actually see the pick? It's a Dunlop nylon - one of my recent insights was to always use the same type of pick so my attack is more consistent. Plus I like the embossed writing which helps it slip around less during a sweaty performance!
