Dear Tom & Followers,

My blue Tom Anderson Guitarworks T-shirt is almost completely worn out. I'm concerned the next time I stretch it over my head it will rip in two. What do most people do in this situation? Do they purchase a new guitar?

I guess I can be persuaded...

Peacefully,
Joe

Although buying a new guitar will make you happier, sending $15 to TAG for a new t-shirt will make your wife happier.

I haven't sent in my registrations yet, and since I already have straps for my 2 TA guitars, and the T-shirts only come in Large and Extra Large (what's up with that?), I'll give you one of mine. Email me (look at my profile) with your address, and I'll ask them to send it to you instead. (What size?)

Thanks! Your kindness and generosity is very much appreciated. However, there's that rite of passage that I would always feel bad about if I didn't earn the t-shirt. Magdons got a Sunburst and I have gas...

Well if you would consider, I would love for you to have them send the shirt to me. If you are serious, please e-mail me at:

Thanks so much!

You can wear a guitar,
You can wear a t-shirt

You can play a guitar
but can you play a t-shirt?

You can play in a t-shirt
but can you play in a guitar?

These are important questions.

cm, what size do you need. we periodically run batches of odd sizes, not that you're odd or anything...

I'm wear a medium, which I guess is odd in today's Large America.

Should I hold on to my registrations for the medium run?

tom

what color do you like. we have to run 6 min. but it wouldn't kill us to have a few.

Tom, I know you've already answered this before, but I'm too lazy to search-what colors do your t-shirts come in these days? I'm going to send up a check for some more t-shirts. I got a reddish/maroon shirt years ago-do you guys have that color option anymore?

tom

right now we have black, white, navy and grey.

The website shows tan. Would those be available? If not, white will do.

i don't think we ever did tan. does it say tan or does it just look tan?

i feel like i rmember there being a sort of tanish color one that i used to steal from your closet. Tan or a color similar to it and black writing. possibly?

I'm talking about the one on the right. It looks to me like there is tan, blue, white, and green.

There's a tannish looking t-shirt on the anderson website. It could be white, but just beneath that t-shirt, there's a white t-shirt that really looks white, so I assumed it was tan. I also thought I've seen you (Tom) with a tan t-shirt in the TA catalog.

CM-you beat me to it. That's the one I was referring to as well.

crazy. none of us remember tan, but it sure looks tan. i can't remember owning tan. getting old is so unfair. rachel will check on getting some meds.

Tom, that picture on your website where you're playing a TA (of course) plugged into a mesa, sitting down and smiling while wearing shorts and a TA shirt. I thought that was tan colored.

I like that strap also. Do you still have anything like that available? ie suede instead of the smooth ones you have now

After 9 years, my black shirt still looks excellent, thankfully -- & during all that time it's been the only t-shirt with a product logo I'm willing to wear. My earlier aqua-blue shirt, taken over by my wife about the same time, still looks fine, too (esp. on her). Guess it's that legendary TA quality!

Hmm...throw some of those meds in the case with each guitar, plus a shirt & a strap, & watch the deluge of orders pour in.:D

Does anyone realize we are on two pages going on three talking about T-shirts?

I was just going to suggest Maroon also (with white lettering). I LOVE my black one, but I am going to be ordering a Plum Hollow T, so wouldn't that match nice!! YEAH

Is that really a possibility to get Maroon??

Ok I'm getting in on this.
When I bought my first TA in '92. Tom was making these t-shirts that had the logo and a wacked out strat pic screened on the front. I had a pink one and a turquoise blue one. Cool shirts and I miss mine.
All the TA shirts (except the gray) are extremely durable, but I would love to see:
Black with White lettering
Turquoise with Black lettering
Red with Black...

For those of you who hate throwing your old TA shirts away..
I have turned my 8 year old white TA shirt into guitar polish/wax rags......

I third that since my maroon one is getting a little old looking! The maroon shirt I have has yellowish lettering on it.

Tom,

If I decide to purchase a Sunburst Classic from the JackSter @ MM will you send me your autograph on an 8x10 patina photo of yourself playing one of your guitars? In addition to an extra-large blue T-shirt, of course.

Also, I can't tell you how many people mistake me for you when I wear that T-shirt. Well, I can tell you - it's happened about 12 times in three years. People will kindly inquire if I am Tom Anderson. I chuckle and give them a soft pat on the shoulder and say, "Why, yes I am. I am Tom Anderson." It really makes them happy, which in return makes me grin so large.

Anyway...thoughts?

P&L,
Han Zuko

Tom,

These days patina is very assessable and you can also work lots of magic in photo shop programs for your computer. Yes, picture this - An ensemble shot of the TA crew done in a mosaic theme with the catch phrase, "Love wins, every time" superimposed over the image. Hey, just brainstorming...

Anyway, Jack at Magdon was kind enough to promise me a wonderful 8x10 of him posing with my new Anderson in his Elvis '68 Comeback Special leather outfit.

All this and great customer support. The man is a saint!

peace&remember: Love wins, every time.
