You guys know I am working in Singapore. I have the new Atom Special, the Crowdster Plus and a Taylor BBT with a K&K Pure Western setup. I use a VOX TLLE. We recently got some JBL EONS.

Of course I will run through FOH after the TLLE. I played an Egnater Rebel 20 here in Singapore last weekend. AWESOME! Problem is, I have to take a taxi EVERYWHERE.

I need something so I can hear myself on stage and possibly just leave at the service. At home, I play the TLLE thru my home entertainment system and it's great!

Would something like an AER work as a monitor, for the Crowdster Plus AND the Atom thru the TLLE? Or is an AER not what I am after?

I am playing at a small, start up worship service. Certainly low volume.

What are your recommendations?

are the eons for foh or monitor? if they are monitors, they should do fine. if they are not, what are you using for monitors for voice? i would think they should work as well as an acoustic amp.

The EONS are FOH. We have one small shared (translated to virtually worthless) powered monitor.

I should probably just get a small powered monitor.

BTW, you did a great job on the Atom. The Bigsby simply rocks and the PU selection is so sweet!

glad you like it!
i'd get a decent powered monitor, that way you can get whatever you need in it.

So I have some ideas on powered monitors but have to travel light.

Any other suggestions from anyone?

Have you seen the Mackie SRM150?

My suggestion is the above, your Atom in a gig bag and a Fishman Solo Amp!

You can fit it all in the passenger seat! Tell your girlfriend to ride with her friends!
(You never mentioned anything about price being an obstacle!)

I am somewhat limited on options here.

This is what I got and it looks like it will work out perfect.

Thanks for the suggestions.

That works too.

But you got to admit the car is cool...

I've got that Yamaha set up as a portable system here @ church. It works pretty good and offers a lot of options with the mixer. If you want something smaller, those Mackie SM150's do sound good for how small they are....also look @ a Roland Cube.

Blessings,
Steven

Steven, you go from guitar to FOH and then AUX Send to the Yamaha, correct?

Danno, the car is WAY cool!

Well, I only use it as a stand alone system for events around our building.
But you could use the line out to the PA and then control your own monitor level for the speaker. that will only give you yourself in the mix though...you could also go

gtr (I'm assuming you're using your VOX) ---> yamaha ----> PA (you control your own monitor level)

PA (aux out) (mix of whatever) ---> Yamaha

I don't think the AER works well with the Crowdster. IMHO, the Crowdster needs a big floating speaker, like what an EON is. I have an AER cube and it just doesn't cut it with the Crowdster as compared to when I have run it through an EON.

Then again, if you're just monitoring yourself, space might be the limitation, and perhaps you don't need to hear the full big sound. I don't even listen to my electric amp directly on-stage. I run the mic that's on it through a monitor, so I hear more of what my people hear.
