One of my favorite guitars is this one made for me by Black Mesa Guitars. Locking Gotoh tuners, Gotoh/Wilkinson trem, 24 frets, cool design, walnut top over limba body. Three-way pickup switching with mini-switch bypass going to blend control (any amount of each pick with middle detent full on both). Sheptone PAF pickups with push/pull tone knob splitting PUPs. Reasonable pricing for custom guitar. Clint (the owner/builder) is great guy and sends tons of pics during the process from slabs of wood to finished product.

it looks like the frisco bay area influence, starting with alembic. out here in Ca we called those basses hippie sandwich basses. no disrespect intended to the hippies that made them of this guitar.

Might be some influence from CA. If you go to his website, I believe he was in Cali for a while before moving to New Mexico. Lives/builds in Florida now. The one I have sounds/plays quite nicely. And, yes, he does make basses, also.
