It's part of a video series on Lab Sound Systems based in CA. I'm sure alot of you have seen this or been there at some point. It's got a TA plug as well.

I got a hoot out of the Ultrasonic pick-up plug. Flat frequency response! Use an eq!

That makes me want to spend thousands on a rack setup! Well, maybe not.

I'd just settle for a TC 2290. I kick myself for never picking one up.

Thanks for sharing. I remember visiting them in 89 (or so) when I was thinking of upgrading from my Peavey Bandit. I think I made an appointment to visit and look at different rack systems. Very nice and personalized service. This is is about the time I saw and had GAS for TAG and Mesa Boogies. Unfortunately, they wanted more than a starving student could make in a whole year. I can't believe that was like 20 years ago.

That's excellent! I was living and gigging there from the mid-80's to late 90's and recording at The Village in Santa Monica. While I started off with a fairly simple Mesa combo amp (that kicked ass!!) and foot pedals, I ended up with a massive rack with all the usual suspects...Mesa Strategy 400 power amp, ADA MP1 preamp, Mesa Triaxis, Marshall JMP1 (which was great!), Quadreverb, Rocktron Intellifex, Furman, Lexicon, etc all through two Marshal 4X12's. Sounded incredible, really, but MAN what overkill!

I had both the mullet and Flock of Seagulls hair thing happening all along, too, which is nice. Also, had the COOLEST surfer chick girlfriend living in Manhatten Beach that actually liked to listen and dance around to my stuff. That was a first and last...should have married her!

Ah, those were the days.

Ahhhh, the old ADA MP1, the holy grail for all of us solid state fiends. I didn't even know what a tube amp was back then. If Crate didn't make it, I didn't need it.
