I am interested to hear from some owners. How are you finding the experience? What pickup choice did you go with, and are you considering any changes? What niche are you filling with it, and have you found any tonal surprises? For those of us with no access, these reports are helpful. I have no doubt about fit and finish, I am curious about tone? The economy has delayed my double humbucker acquisition, but fortunately not ended it. For now I'll have to enjoy the reports of others.
BTW, Tom and et al, I would relay my 3rd 'wow' experience. Recently had a visiting guitar player from NO who was asked to sit in for a few songs with a group of guys playing at local club diner. My instructor (and first 'wow' - and part of the group) asked if I still had my guitar with me (lesson a few hours earlier). I did, but I really did not want someone I did not know playing out with my guitar - which I value, and handle with care. I relented, and distractedly listened to the Hendrix set that followed. Rapidly went to retrieve my guitar following the last song. The guy was gushing about it. So light, so ballanced, what great tone, felt like I have been playing it for years.....all the time, me with hands out, him turning it over, playing it again unplugged, inches away from mic stands. Just like my lessons where my instructor likes to show me using my guitar, as if that makes a difference. It always makes me feel bad a little bit that I have such a quality instrument and little talent, while these great players with lesser means have less. Anyway, thanks again guys for a great guitar, it impresses everywhere it goes. Hopefully my playing will catch up to it some day.
