I know Tom's a busy man, so one of you Anderson freaques can help me.
I know what the Cobra's 5-way switch does in positions 1, 3, and 5, and I know that position 3 has a split if you pull out the tone knob.
What's happening at 2 and 4? Can't find the answer on-line.

2 & 4 splits the humbuckers so you have single coil type sounds. :D

I thought it might be that simple.
Funny, I got some of TAG's pickups over 15 years ago to put in a couple guitars, and found them the only truly useful "splittable" pickups on the market.
15 years later and little has changed.

Pietro makes a good point. Perhaps Tom's new website will have some more information on their pickups when the page is redesigned.
I have a similar question on my new Classic. I have the VA5/VA5+ setup in it, with mini-toggle and push/pull tone. Not sure what either of those do. Can tell there's some thickening with the mini-toggle but the push/pull has a very minimal tone difference when it's used.
What is going on with those controls??
Thanks
the pp adds the bridge pu to neck and neck/middle positions on the 5 way. the mini switch is the va booster, normal up and boost down.

Thank you Tom! As always! Sometimes I wonder if you spend most of the time on your forum instead of building guitars, based on how quick you answer. Any rough estimate (month, 6 month, year, etc.) on when the new Anderson website will be published??
Thanks again...
i've been home most of the week with a damaged back so i've been laying in bed with my computer catching up on programming new goodies, so i check in often for a break.
i'm guessing 2-3 months on the site, it's hard to say, we feel like we're close then find something else.

Hey Tom,
Take care of that back. I hope you mend well, and rapidly!!
doing much better. already started on a lightweight guitar to play for the next couple months:D
A new guitar as part of physical therapy. I think that might just work!! I might just have to hurt my back.............
"Oh honey, this new Anderson is gonna make me feel so much better" LOL

You could do one of those LeBay (?) 2 x 4 things. Just get 2x4 hunk of light ash, hollow it out, put a flamed maple cap on it and bolt a neck on. I bet it will be under 3.5 lbs easy! You'll look like a minimalist Bo Diddley!
i'll stick with the curvy body shape. i think i can get it light enough:D
