..then end of March, or so they say.
I'm not much of a movie fan, but this will push me to get the blu-ray player and big flat screen. Enjoy. ;)

Nobody plays like Jeff. Nobody.

Saw him on his last tour, in NYC. With all the bends, and in particular all that he's got going with his right hand, he never misses a note. It's amazing to behold!! He makes a guitar speak.

I'll look forward to the DVD. Thanks for the heads up.

btw.....Vinnie can play some drums, eh?

Been a Beck fan for 30 years. He is probably my favorite guitarist. One of those guys you can hear two notes and know its' him.
Tal and Vinnie make for a great backbone too. Actually, Tal's solo stuff gives me hope.

Eight years ago I dropped $13K in a home theatre system with a 50" Panasonic plasma display. The display itself was $9,000!!! Today it's still the best picture I've seen. I have no regrets, even though the same display can be had for less than $2K.

A month ago I picked up a Blu-Ray player from a dealer going out of business (shame on me) for $240. My Panasonic plasma panel won't accept an HDMI interface, so I use the component hookup and get 1080P resolution.

Picture-wise, the Blu-ray does a great job both for BR and standard DVDs. The huge difference is in the audio!

By all means, invest in a Blu-Ray player, even if your TV isn't the greatest. I'll assume the audio part of your system is tops, and will show the true strength of BR technology.

And I can't wait for the Jeff Beck DVD. Does it feature the same bass player as on the Crossroads video?

Wow, Dave. Thanks so much for posting that!

It was the Truth album that did it for me so many moons ago. And everything after...There and Back, Blow by Blow, Guitar Shop, etc...always something different but never any doubt Beck. Like Road King says, you hear two notes and know it's him.

These clips are from the coming DVD. Imagine this in HD and a nice sound system!? I think I'd just leave it in repeat mode 24/7. :D
